Poems
These are dub versions of Shakespeare's Sonnets 144-148 from Buds. Dub, not erasure, is the method, as the emphasis is on the bringing forth of the two words per line, rather than the veiling of the remaining words in the line. The dubbed words are then arranged into couplets, & the couplets formed into a branch. The effect, I hope, draws the reader forward, "down" through the bud while a tension is created within the reader that makes her simultaneously start reading backwards & "up," forming a circle that intersects with the other buds.
